Lifting the bandwidth limit of optical homodyne measurement with broadband parametric amplification
Standard homodyne detection is intrinsically limited by the electronic bandwidth of the photo-detectors. Here, the authors exploit parametric amplification to demonstrate sub-shot-noise optical quadrature measurement across a bandwidth of 55 THz.
