Sumario:PLE Teaching has been a growing theme. In order to ratify the presence of the Communicative Approach within the Celpe-Bras Exam and detect the presence of this perspective in the textbook “Welcome!” is that we analyze these materials. In addition, we also suggest enhancement proposals for the activities. To this end, we use the works of Almeida Filho (2013), Geraldi (1997) and Larsen-Freeman (1986). Methodologically, we start from a qualitative research, which provides us with a comparative analysis between the expected in the Exam and the presented by the LD. The following criteria were defined in our analysis: “non-CELPE”, “quasi CELPE” and “CELPE” activities. Finally, we confirm the presence of the Communicative Approach in the materials used, observing the progression of the levels within the materials and verify the importance of the teacher as a role of enhancing the didactic resour-ces, regarding the intercession between PLE and Portuguese LM, promoted by the necessary reflection.
