In order to ratify the presence of the Communicative Approach within the Celpe-Bras Exam and detect the presence of this perspective in the textbook “Welcome!” is that we analyze these materials. In addition, we also suggest enhancement proposals for the activities. To this end, we use the works of Almeida Filho (2013), Geraldi (1997) and Larsen-Freeman (1986). Methodologically, we start from a qualitative research, which provides us with a comparative analysis between the expected in the Exam and the presented by the LD. The following criteria were defined in our analysis: “non-CELPE”, “quasi CELPE” and “CELPE” activities.
