Sumario:In the Quran and hadith narratives, there appear attributes such as vach, yad, istiwa, kadam, ityân, sâk, ru’yah which are named as allegorical (mutashabih) or informative (khabari). The approaches of scholars and sects to these attributes differ according to their social, political, theological etc. situations. These approaches also interact with each other. Some accept these attributes without any interpretation or refer their meanings to Allah andbelieve that only Allah acquaints with them, while the other scholars and sects interpret them, using the method of ta’wil. In this paper, we will endeavor to determine the approach of Ibnu’l-Mulakkın to this topic in the framework of his commentary work ‘Et-Tavdîh li-şerhi’l-Câmii’s-Sahîh’ on Bukhari’s ‘el-Câmiü’s-Sahîh’.
