Ragıp Pasha has written a Divan and seven works on different topics. While Ragıp Pasha was in Baghdad Treasurer Baghdad was under siege Nadir Shah. He was proud to have relied upon the power during the siege of Baghdad and he wrote mocking and haughty letters to Osman Pasha who came to help from Erzurum to Baghdad. With the same haughty attitude Nadir Shah’s close friend Mirza Zeki also sent a letter to Ragıp Pasha. Ragıp Pasha also wrote a letter in response to Mirza Zeki’s letter. Mirza Zeki has used a style sarcastic and dismissive about the Ottoman State and statesmen of Ottoman state to make psychological pressure and to learn about the status of the enemy.
