It was revealed that the children with signs of systemic inflammatory response syndrome exhibit a significant increase of absolute content and percentage of circulating CD34+ cells, whereas children with frequent infections, and with clinical signs of allergy during recurrence of their chronic allergic disease showed a significant decrease in CD34+ cell percentage.
