Description
Summary:This article objective looks for analyze some social and territorial dynamics at the chilean-argentine andean spaces today known as the Araucanía (in Chile) and Neuquén (in Argentina) regions. In general, the question is to understand the character of state strategies, as soon as their impact on the relations, territories and population between 1880 and 1930, approximately. The idea is to characterize the strategies, answers and conciliation from both the state and also the different actors that inhabited this territory. Peculiarity of Araucanía-Neuquén space is that, as spaces adjoined to Los Andes mountain range, they experimented with a double territorial formation process, because simultaneously they were incorporated as national territories and through them, following the mountain range, borders of the new national states were established. This double state territory formation, both inside and outside, will mean the development of a complex process of control, domestication and training over space and people on the basis of sovereign concepts that appear at that time and that articulate political, economic and social interests.
