Cavity piezo-mechanics for superconducting-nanophotonic quantum interface

Hybrid quantum systems would allow interfacing superconducting nodes with optical links. Here, the authors demonstrate an integrated platform where 10 GHz phonons are resonantly coupled with photons in a superconducting cavity and a nanophotonic cavity at the same time, allowing efficient mediation...

Sumario:Hybrid quantum systems would allow interfacing superconducting nodes with optical links. Here, the authors demonstrate an integrated platform where 10 GHz phonons are resonantly coupled with photons in a superconducting cavity and a nanophotonic cavity at the same time, allowing efficient mediation of bidirectional microwave-optical conversion.
