The article criticise the Danish Wage Commission for only providing an overall picture of the existing wage differences between men and women instead of putting an effort in disseminating knowledge and raise consciousness about hidden, gender-based wage discrepancies. Based upon findings from an EU project this article discusses if the current trend to- wards a more decentralised, individualised and performance related wage system in the public sector is problematic seen from the gen- der perspective?
