At the same time, the idea that the city has to become an ‘immune space’ is a growing trend, often bringing with it reductive solutions and definitions of design and society. Starting from these considerations, this contribution defines the need to assert a renewed public dimension of the role of the architect and of the design itself, with the idea of a renewed social and spatial infrastructure to sustain this peculiar condition we are living as the core of the profession of the architect. This is then an occasion to assert a critical, radical and resistant-based design.
