The tourism related activities are currently responsible for the local economy by overcoming the traditional activities related to subsistence farming and artisanal fisheries. Starting from a theoretical framework on social and solidarity economy and sustainable territorial development the qualitative research characterized as the exploratory and descriptive study of the case and had semi-structured interviews with representatives of boat cooperative. The study found that the cooperative has been an area of social integration, identity construction, and citizenship.
