Although many people with ADD or ADHD will not qualify for special treatment under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the absence of legal requirements guiding management does not mean that managers’ responsibilities end. The greatest task for managers of ADD/ADHD employees will be working with their conditions, rather than against them, in order to foster efficiency and productivity in the workplace.
