Sumario:The aim of the current study was to determine the effect of Interdisciplinary Support Education (ISEP) on quality of life and coping styles of children aged 11-14 with chronic illness. Praticipant consisted of sixty children with chronic ilness who hospitilized in Dışkapı State Hospital and Gazi University Hospital. In order to gather data Coping Scale for Children, Quality of Life Scale for Children, and Demographics Form, developed all by the authors were used. This study was conducted as a quasi-experimental and applied in the hospital environment in the form of psycho-educational group activity. Effectiveness of ISEP intervention was tested with pre-post, post-test and follow-up measures with 12 session group work. Post-test and follow up results showed that children in test group had higher quality of life scores and adaptive coping styles scores than did children in control group. The results revealed that ISEP is effective on 11-14 age childrens’ quality of life and coping skills.
