The study is characterized as a review of the literature, descriptive nature, quantitative approach and had as a research source the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes) in the period from 2005 to 2015. The parameters analyzed were author (s), place of study, environmental valuation methods used objectives, estimated values of environmental services and assessed attribute. The results showed that the Contingent Valuation Method predominated in most of the analyzed works. It was identified that the Southeast Region has the highest number of environmental valuation methods applied in the studies, and there are no publications on the subject in the Northeast Region. The year with the largest publication addressing the theme was 2010, while 2005 and 2014 did not identify any study.
