Sumario:There are serious risks related to health and safety in the working conditions where underground mining activities are carried out. In order to prevent these, it is necessary to carry out specific studies of the employees. Heavy working conditions, reduce stress, and work safety practices effectively increase the level of job satisfaction by making such arrangements with the reward system will reduce the risks that may occur. Therefore, a positive connection will be provided between the work-life balance of the employees. The aim of our work in this direction is to investigate the effect of general job satisfaction, internal satisfaction and external satisfaction of underground mine workers on Occupational Safety and health. In addition to these, comparisons were made about burnout levels. It consists of the criteria of participants' age, gender, marital status, whether you have a child, smoking, getting special training about their job and doing their job willingly. In our research Minnesota job satisfaction scale has been used. The scale consists of 20 items to measure internal and external satisfaction. The number of underground workers in a mining company operating in Gümüşhane is 162, and all of these employees were included in the study and 121 of them were evaluated. Data were collected in 2018. The general satisfaction level of the group does not show a normal distribution (p=0.048; p<0.05). While the job satisfaction levels of the study group decreased, their burnout levels increased (r=-0.353). Likewise, while the internal and external job satisfaction levels of the participants decrease, their burnout increases (r=-0.356 and r=-0.133, respectively). As a result, the decrease in job satisfaction levels creates serious risks in terms of occupational safety and health. Therefore, it causes employees to experience burnout and disrupt their work-life balance.
