Sumario:Second New poetry movement is a turning in modernism adventure of Turkish literature. At first, although Turkish literature partly experienced modernism in Cenab Şahabettin, Ahmet Haşim, Yahya Kemal, Nazım Hikmet, Orhan Veli’s works, it actually experiences modernism in Second New poetry. Second New poets, who demolish poetry aesthetic perception, develop an irrationalist language as affected modernist movements such as dadaism, existentialism, surrealism. They reflect their marginal personalities on work as poetry removed from restrictive elements such as morality and logic. One of thoughts about Second New is that this poetry is modernist. In investigatives which have been recently carried out, it has been claim that there are some postmodern elements in Second New poetry and it has appearanced just like postmodern. The aim of this paper is to put forth relationship between Second New and postmodernism, and to assess whether Second New is postmodern, or not.
