Sumario: | This study presents some introductory aspects of psychiatric historiography, particularly in its encounter with the judicial system as an analytical space in which to explore insanity. It focuses on the possibilities of the civil justice, specifically on guardianship and interdiction and their archive. Considering these elements, this paper presents some pivotal questions that guided the doctoral research process, which were related with the meaning of insanity and its disciplinary context. |
