The paper describes the current approaches to defining the concepts of competence and expertise and summarizes various classifications of competence and methods for forming competence models. The author proposes a universal method for designing an occupation competence model for a large enterprise. When describing the method, we offer examples of a handbook of competence, rating scales and an algorithm for developing an occupation competence model. The research concentrates on an occupation competence model for metallurgy. The obtained results can be of use while embedding the competence-based approach in the HR management system of an enterprise.Pozolotina E.I.Ural State University of EconomicsarticleCOMPETENCEEXPERTISECOMPETENCE-BASED APPROACHOCCUPATION COMPETENCE MODELHR MANAGEMENT SYSTEMEMPLOYEE COMPETENCE PROFILEBusinessHF5001-6182FinanceHG1-9999RUУправленец, Vol 9, Iss 6, Pp 68-77 (2018)
