Sumario:Political intervention in the field of art seems to have found in the twentieth century a privileged way in the form of documentary film. This encounter between art and politics is an expression of a way of interpretation-action of the reality. This statement invites the abandonment of any perspective of realistic representation. But also invites to think about the forms of subjectivity that involves both the author´s perspective as well as the excesses of meaning and re-actualizations which can be woven around a film in the light of new scenarios, new subjects. Almost half a century after its premiere, Now (S. Alvarez, 1965) is a text which, for their expressive strategies and the thickness of its subject, allows to put into play in a particular way some of these issues.
