Sumario:Information has many forms such as written, oral and electronic. Information security based on privacy, integrity and accessibility of information and it has great importance on institutions in terms of operations and continuity. The purpose of the information security is accesing the accurate information to the right person as soon as possible. In this study, we aimed to investigate the awareness of information security of personnel who work in Gulhane Military Medical Faculty Training Hospital and to determine there was a difference between awareness of information security of personnel in terms of socio-cultural background. The research is consisted of 314 attendees Gulhane Military Medical Faculty Training Hospital. The “Information Security Questionnarie”, which was developed by researcher’s own, was used in this study. The Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was calculated as 0.914. It was observed that the awareness of information security consisted of three subscales as security policy, system security and employee safety as a result of factor analysis.The awareness of information security level of participants was found as 89.7 %.
