Sumario:This paper aims to discuss how the poet Ricardo Domeneck reflects about the memory and its double/opposite term, the forgetfulness, as a primordial element for the understanding of the subject in its time, proposing a lyrics of concepts and reflexion, in which the effectiveness of the memory is metaphorized by the discon- tinuous rhythm, composed by appositions and fragments. Thus, this paper analy- ses a series of three poems in which some representative elements of this author’s poetry emerge in the discussion of the role of the memory in contemporaneity.
