The healing process depends on many of its parameters, such as the type of compression bandages, their elastic properties and sub-bandage pressure. However, there is no standard protocol that would ensure success for all patients. A pressure of about 83 mmHg provides complete compression for both superficial and deep veins; however, applying compression bandages under such high pressure is a difficult task, even for experienced therapists. Here, we present the case of a 61-year-old woman with approximately 2.5-year-old venous ulcer in her left leg due to chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).
