| Sumario: | The main objective of this research was to analyse the impacts caused by the national program for the strengthening of family agriculture (Pronaf), the economic and social life of the farmers in Ijuí/RS city, besides the development and improvement of activities in rural properties, proportioned by the program. The methodology used is characterized as an exploratory research of qualitative nature, using case studies. The individuals that participating in this survey were 15 farmers from Ijuí/RS city, beneficiaries of the Pronaf. This research allowed to evaluate the benefits, difficulties and improvements in the small rural property. The alternatives generated over time to a greater profits generation were also evaluated, as well as performing a market analysis that the small farmers are members. It was noted that the Pronaf generates great benefits to small rural producer, providing facilities in its acquisition and allowing greater investments and improvements in property and land. However, the program alone does not generate larger impacts on the socioeconomic life of family farmers, whereas family farming is still on the market and need to seek constant alternatives to ensure their sustainability. |
