| Summary: | The objective of this theoretical essay is to discuss the role of territorial assets and innovation in territorial development aligned with the premises of creative cities, seeking to establish possible links between them. From the hypothesis that territorial assets (tangible and intangible) can be understood as the inputs of the territorial innovation system that generate as output the productivity and the development of the territory with the bias demanded by the creative cities, it is sought the conceptual relations and the theoretical clues that sustain it. The latter allowed us to infer that innovations will enable or support changes in the territorial assets that are related to them, generating and disseminating knowledge that can make the system of territorial innovation more efficient and effective, favoring territorial development from a scope aligned with what conceptually is understood as creative cities. |
