Their solution will ensure stable production of irreplaceable food products for the population of the country. According to many researchers, the most common cause of infertility in cows is metabolic disorders due to unbalanced feeding with a predominance of concentrated feed in the diet. As a result, in deeply pregnant and calving cows, pathobiochemical processes reach critical values, and a large number of animals are culled immediately after calving or in the first months of lactation. In the rest of the cows, reproductive disorders are observed and alimentary infertility develops. In order to correct metabolic processes and restore the reproduction function in cows, we proposed an energy-metabolic composition based on glycerol and succinic acid or sodium succinate. To determine its effectiveness, an experiment was carried out, as a result of which a high therapeutic efficacy of the drug was established, which was confirmed by the data of a biochemical study of the blood of experimental cows. Reproductive ability was restored in 85.6% of the cows of the experimental groups, which were fed with the proposed drug. In the control group, only 78.2% of the animals came in heat within 90 days after calving. Thus, the experiment has proven the effectiveness of the use of the energy-metabolic composition (glycerol with succinic acid or sodium succinate) for the correction of pathobiochemical processes and the preservation of the reproductive capacity of cows.Mikhailova IrinaLeshchenko TatianaEvlevsky AlexeyOrtyakova IrinaEDP SciencesarticleMicrobiologyQR1-502PhysiologyQP1-981ZoologyQL1-991ENFRBIO Web of Conferences, Vol 37, p 00081 (2021)
