The approach of female characters to love is as important as their references to the “female problem” in their novels. It is difficult for a woman to not be able to take a decisive position in social life in her century, to be “self” in fiction. The concept of self refers to a concept that corresponds to "I". This concept can be accepted as a stage of maturation that enables individuals to define their feelings, express their desires and wishes as well as their rejection. The person who approaches or reaches the threshold of maturation also begins to regulate his emotions. This enables it to develop healthier relationships with other people, especially the opposite sex. In this article, the approaches of female characters who are in the position of other people in all novels of Fatma Aliye Hanım will be examined. The hysterical nature of other people deepens this problem. In this context, as well as the comparison of female characters with each other, their internal inquiries provide important clues. The main ontological problem in their view of love is the weakness of their self-perception. Because Fatma Aliye cannot leave them to their own state while establishing their characters, religious, social and cultural factors are determinant in women's decisions.
