| Sumario: | This article presents a proposal for an economic and financial evaluatian of the Restructuring and Expansion Program 01 Federal Brazilian Universilies (REUNI) as applied al lhe Federal Universily al Pelolas (UFPEL). 11 considered this national policy for expansion of public higher educatian, which set the guidelines for actions undertaken by UFPEL lorm 2008-2012 . The article locuses on the theme 01evaluation because considering the context and discourse 01 constant scarcity 01 resources for the implementation 01 public policies, evaluation is an important tool for those who prepare and execute these pclicies. An evafuation can help correct the direction 01 the polícies adopted and to attaín the objectives and qoals. The proposal includes the creation 01 parameters that can be used by other similar institutions and the strengthening 01 a democratic culture 01 evaluation and monitoring in the academic community to improve the enances for effective results Irom the program in the medium and long term. |
