However, works on specific cases that complete the overall views on this sadly famous Tribunal are gaining followers among current researchers. The present article is precisely in keeping with the second research category analysing in detail the trial of a modest woman for Molinosism, María de los Dolores López, also known as the blessed Dolores. The particularity of this trial is based on the fact that at its conclusion in 1781, the Spanish Inquisition sentenced a person to burn at the stake for the last time.
