Sumario: | Mergers and acquisitions in Russian higher education are extremely topical for us, as government plans to restructure higher school. One way to improve the quality of education is to enlarge educational institutions by joining weaker universities to stronger ones. The article specifies the idea of such notions as mergers and acquisitions in education and shows typical problems arising during universities' merger. The authors identify key stages of merging educational institutions and necessary staff solutions. Criteria to estimate staff potential of universities were formulated, approaches to estimation of the efficiency of merger processes were put forward. |
