Sumario: | The city of Zacatecas during the XVI and XVII centuries was characterized for having a heterogeneous population, product of the economic activity of mining. Since this silver center was discovered it became into a center of attraction for the richness of its mining veins, despite the dangers surrounding it. In this microcosm it is worth asking. How people amuse themselves ? Which were the practices of entertainment that allowed them to cope with the dullness of life, with the harshness of the mining work conditions ? To what sort of conflicts did this pastime led to ? This text aims to present a first approach to the overwily life of Zacatecas in the 16th to the 17thcentury to understand forms of socialization and cultural practices of leisure and recreation of its inhabitants, as well as the consequences that entailed. |
