After a quick revision of the scant approaches that this kind of documents has had until now, which are a source of great richness for the social and cultural history, among other, we suggest a few lines of analysis in order to place and give new meaning to the interpersonal conflicts they describe. The idea is to recognize the common elements that allow all these societies to generate these documents, which reflect and register the mentality and shared representations that circulated through the colonial spaces as well as the aspirations and grievances of its inhabitants; and next, to visualize those aspects that could distinguish each one of them, thinking particularly in the deep look into the case of Chile we are now developing.María Eugenia Albornoz VásquezCentre de Recherches sur les Mondes Américainsarticlecultural historydaily violencejustice historyslandersocial historyAnthropologyGN1-890Latin America.
