Sumario:In manakıp books which can be accounted as biographical sources of Traditional Islamic Mysticism, legend-like stories in the context of myths are often found. As characters in myths are supernatural, their creator adjectives are revealed by their miraculous and sacred actions. Mythical stories in Islamic Mysticisms also mention “valis” and inadmissibly, these stories attribute talents and features to such characters which before have not even been told by Prophet Mohammed (p.b.u.h.) and His companions. Just like perceiving Jesus as the son of God with Godly talents; these Islamic stories tell that such characters undertake the competences of Allah with supernatural powers thus having awareness and control over all actions on earth. These powers consist of raising the dead, healing the ill and blind, praying while on water and many other miracles. With these mythological expressions, Muslims tried to prove the superiority of these valis’ against Jesus, which their Christian neighbours perceived as Lord. These mythological expressions immensely affect uneducated people and put them in a position to never doubt the person they follow through the idea that a disaster will unfold should that person be questioned.
