Sumario:The purpose of this study is to determine which values that are aimed to gained are more valuable for pre-service teachers and why do they think so? Through this purpose; “According to pre-service teachers what is the priority of values that are aimed to gained in primary education curriculum. What are the reasons of this first three values should have gained by primary school students? Why those chosen values seen more important by pre-service teachers? In this study, it has been tried to find some answers to these questions. This research designed by qualitative research method. The study group consists of 123 pre-service primary school teachers who are studying in Spring term in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Education of Bartın University. Criterias which are used to determine pre-service teachers, are to study first or second grade of the Faculty and to be volunteer for the research. As a data collection tool, interview form which is developed by researchers by the help of expert opinions is used. The interview forms consist of two sections and five open-ended questions. Responses analyzed by content analysis technique. At the end of the research, “Respect for Turkish Flag and Independence March”, “Independence”, “Patriotism” and “Love of Nation” values are considered to be gained with priority respectively. Pre-service teachers mostly used “Loyalty to the country”, “Protecting the Country and improving it”, “Learning is suitable at this age” and “national consciousness” expressions. They think those values are more important than other values for these two reasons “Patriotism and being beneficial for the country is crucial”, “Knowing some values have priority”. It is suggested to examine why other values except mentioned in this paper is seen less important for pre-service teachers.
