| Sumario: | This article aims to examine the issue of sanitation in the current context of the Brazilian state crisis. It seeks to present the sector’s problems and the main challenges to be overcome in the face of the high deficit of services and the strong reduction of investments in sanitation. Intrinsically related to sanitation lies the unresolved issue of housing for low-income families. Sanitation and housing are unresolved problems dating back to the nineteenth century. The resulting impacts have a strong impact on the quality of life of the population. They are, therefore, challenges to be overcome to improve. |
