Sumario:Malatya is a city in the Upper Euphrates section of the Eastern Anatolia Region. This section is the part of Eastern Anatolia which is more suitable for life and has mild and large water resources. Having mild climates, important rivers and large flats, Malatya has been one of the frequent destinations of various civilizations throughout history. The richness of Malatya's geographical structure, climate, vegetation and water resources have also been catastrophic. Malatya is a city in which earthquakes, floods, avalanche and rock falls and landslides have spread throughout history. These disasters adversely affected the city's socio-economic structure and population. Due to the fact that the provincial economy is based on agriculture and livestock, floods caused by avalanches, landslides, floods and rainfalls and river floods have destroyed agricultural lands and destroyed the animals and destroyed the economy. The devastating effects of disasters in Malatya have always been throughout history. In this study, the natural disasters that took place in Malatya during the Republican Period were examined. Malatya's disasters are an important shortcoming when the disasters are analyzed. Even in the smallest rain, the floods of the seller are the most important indicators. Disasters that took place in Malatya during the Republican Period prevented the economic and social development of the country and caused deaths and permanent disabilities. The fact that the provincial economy is based largely on agriculture and livestock has led to a great damage to the economy of Malatya in disasters.
