The results suggest that base-promoted disproportionation of arylboronic acid with the assistance of the [<i>N</i>,<i>O</i>]-bidentate ligation of 1-(2-pyridinyl)-5-pyrazolone should take place and facilitate the formation of pyrazole diarylborinate.
