The use of photography in the nineteenth century teratology, medical specialty for the study of human strains, represented a major technical advance in the scientific community because the evidence was the image of testing teratology, which helped in the study, classification and exclusion of abnormal traces from its monstrous appearance and anatomy. But the desire for objectivity of doctors, the study of the monster was the ambivalence of fear and fantasy of their origin.
