We discuss how the development process of monetary capital affects social policies in a contemporary basis, imposing them a new financial logic by rearranging the pattern of social protection in the Brazilian society. We understand that it undermines the constitutional victories presented in the Constitution of 1988 regarding the defense of its ́ fundamental principles, as well as the implementation of the policies pursued.
