Sumario:In Bosnia and Herzegovina, significant coal production takes place in surface mines, which requires continuous work on the maintenance of machines and devices for surface exploitation. The complexity of the construction of rotary excavators, their high cost, and high costs of failure and maintenance, indicate the need for research and development of an efficient diagnostic system. The subject of research are the steel structures of three rotary excavators SRs 402 15 / 1.5 (piece 3) and the depositor A2RsB8500.60 (piece 1), which are in the process of coal production and overburden, at the open pit mine "Dubrave" in Dubrave JP Elektroprivreda BiH ZD Rudnici "Kreka" in Tuzla.
