Description
Summary:Through an innovative methodology that combines the academic essay and poetic creative writing, this paper aims to present an overview of the historical evolution of the adivasi, mainly focussing on the origin of the major problems from colonial times until contemporary days. The focus of study is the adivasi woman of the south-east regions of Orissa, also the santhal woman of West Bengal. Eventually, the major objective is to contribute to the deconstruction of a series of prejudices that still loom over in our popular memory, which are fruit of the impact of colonial legacy and the unstoppable violence of globalization.
