Due to the great complexity of the diverse economic activities upon which their wealth was based -agricultural, industrial, commercial and the lending of money-, this study focuses exclusively on the strategies developed to acquire a vast territorial patrimony, the pivot around which the other productive activities revolved. The same developed within a wide geographical area in the north of the province of Malaga and the south of Córdoba and Sevilla; three areas which exemplify the diversity of Andalucía.
