Nearest-neighbour resonating valence bonds in YbMgGaO4
The signature of short range resonating valence bonds (RVB) to understand quantum spin liquids is yet to be explored. Here, Liet al. observe the putative RVB correlations restricted to nearest neighbours in YbMgGaO4, responsible for the high-energy spin excitations.
