Sumario:The use of the right to resistance does not tend in any way to achieve popular aspirations, but to defend or restore the established order; Therefore, by recognizing the right of resistance, it is intended to work as a mean for the prince to reflect and as a result, get him to respect the lawfulness. Consequently, this paper will present Thomas Hobbes and John Locke ́s thinking and will establish possible agreements and disagreements regarding their political theories, especially the one that concerns here: the right to resistance.
