Sumario:The main purpose of this research is to investigate the predictive role of the university students Purpose of Living on the level of altruism. Moreover, it is aimed to examine that is there a meaningful differences in their altruism level and life purposes depending on demographical features such as gender, parents' living situation, parent’s employment status, and education level of the mother and the father. The research was done with relational screening model and a group of students from 266 girls and 184 boys studying at Amasya University. Life Purpose Scale developed by İlhan (2009), Altruism Scale developed by Akbaba (1994) and The Personal Information Form prepared by the researcher were used as the data collecting tools in this research. As results of the analyses, İt was understood that there is a meaningful relation among their inner lives’ purposes and fathers’ existence and their class levels , and there is a meaningful relation between their external purposes and class level variance .It was seen that there is a meaningful relation among The students’ altruism level , their father’s existence and class level variance.
