Spirituality is an important tool to establish better communication with clients in applications and to let the client recognize his/her capacity. Within social work discipline and profession, spirituality sensitive interventions are getting an increase of interest for the last 20 years. This interest has been also reflected in our country during recent years. However, it is noteworthy that the limited studies on the subject have been carried out mostly by academics who don’t have any social work education. When these studies were examined, starting with the naming and description of spirituality sensitive interventions, there are many problems seen until their applications. In summary, within the terms of social work, those studies don’t have any theoretical basis, and they don’t include the application of professional methods and techniques in their practice. The positive effects of spirituality sensitive interventions to strengthen, to change and to develop the clients, has been proven by several studies. Therefore, in order to implement those interventions efficiently and effectively for the benefit of clients in our country, they should be identified accurately, and the theoretical principals and the details of the implementation must be known.
