The article begins by explaining the conceptual and the methodological framework on which the analysis is based. Then, El Vizcaíno bioreserve, as a protected natural environment, is briefly introduced. Gender relations in the bioreserve´s various microregions are analyzed as are their interconnections with the microregion´s environmental dynamics.
