Sumario:"Communication Sciences as a subject much discussed in theory and concepts are taken out of our face in Turkey. Communication sciences are taught different sub-topics under the main disciplines of science and science communication but identifying the theoretical and conceptual framework of communication science, there are no studies that will help us to understand the scope of the subject of this science. Surely, of course, this is due to the interdisciplinary nature of the little communication sciences at the doctoral level, but it needs a conceptual ground of a science education is also provided should not be ignored.The aim of this study is to examine subjects within the scope of communication sciences and communication sciences as a science area in Turkey. For this purpose, 154 doctoral theses had been examined from the Higher Education Council's online thesis catalog. Collected information had been analyzed for obtaining to statistical results and to create summary tables according to various parameters in the Excel program. The analysis of results show that the first thesis was completed in the 1998, most doctoral thesis have been completed at Marmara University and most researched subject is the cinema in the communication sciences's area. At the end of the study, previously not examined or less studied research subjects were identified in order to guide researchers who want to do research in the area of communication sciences. It is also considered the need for more academic publications to determine the subject and the conceptual framework of the field of communication sciences in Turkey."
