In patients with fibromyalgia, several meta-analyses have demonstrated the effectiveness of antidepressants, particularly the tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) amitriptyline, which reduce the pain, fatigue, depression, and sleep disturbances. Additionally, tramadol, pregabalin, and gabapentin are other treatment options.
