Sumario:The article reveals specifics of the importance of the resource, the human and the growing economic potential of Africa in the world. The authors believe that in the long term Africa is the fastest growing region in the world, which will largely press on the nature and pace of growth in the developed countries, providing them with raw materials, energy resources and human capital. As the severity of the problem of raw materials will only increase, and the position of Africa in the global economy have all chances to strengthen. In these circumstances, especially relevant Russian-African cooperation in the field of raw materials and fuel, where between Russia and African countries are added the complex relationship of cooperation and competition. For Africans Russia still appears as the most likely ally in defending its interests in the world arena, the authors conclude.
