The relevance of economic activity in each region and cluster development allows government managers have a better definition of public policy instruments to promote regional development. To this end, the collection of ICMS is a database that shows the financial results of the productive activities of the various economic sectors in each of the municipalities of Mato Grosso, it is the result of a percentage applied to income companies. The methodology adopted in the calculation of Normalized Concentration Index (ICN) in the municipalities based on data collection in 2008 of ICMS. The study reveals that the collection has proven to be reliable and no significant distortions in the results, given an acceptable rate for the analysis of market behavior.
